Women’s Institute

Activities and education for women of all ages.  For more information please contact Mrs Val Ford on 01359 233320.   Visitors and new members are always welcome to our meetings which are usually held in the Baptist Chapel Hall at 2.30pm on the first Monday of each month, unless it is a Bank Holiday when it is usually moved on a week (to the second Monday of the month).

12th January : ‘Fun and Frolics’ with Ronnie Emmins

2nd February : Age U.K. plus Competition – A homemade fruit cake

2nd March : A talk by Robert Lenko on the Magistracy

13th April : ‘Bradfield Woods’ a talk by Jane Williams

11th May : Resolutions meeting and AGM plus Competition – Photograph taken in the garden.

1st June : Jenny Gibb will talk about her life in Turkey

6th July : Garden party

3rd August : To be announced

7th September : ‘The History of Norton’ by Kenny Ball plus Competition – A single bloom from your garden

5th October : ‘Bletchley Park’ talk by Joyce Kimber

9th November : Alison Brain will talk about her experiences in a Ugandan Ophanage plus Competition – An interesting old postcard

December : Christmas Lunch

Norton WI normally meet on the first Monday of the month, although there are exceptions.

Visitors and new members are always welcome.

This is a small and friendly group who enjoy each other’s company.   We usually arrange a few outings each year or join with other WI’s in their trips.
